IELTS Writing Task (1) Apology Letter

Letter on not being able to return the library books.

My name is Naeem and I am currently in my second year, studying MCA here at SKANS College" I am writing this letter to apologize that I am unable to return the library books on time. The books that I have to return are Computer Graphics, Management of Information Systems and Java Complete Reference.

I will be out of town for a week, as my brother met with an accident last Saturday in Lahore. He badly injured his back and is not able to walk without support. Hence, I must go there to take care of him. My presence is very important there to mentally and physically support my family members.

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and will make sure that this doesn’t happen again. I hope you understand my emergency and consider my request. If you require any further information, please don’t hesitate to call me. Otherwise, please let me know if there is a way I could return these books on time.
